App Store Optimization & App Growth Services
Turn your app store listing into a stronger acquisition channel with research-driven ASO, store conversion optimization and app growth strategy.
ASO audit
The audit is the best starting point. It shows where your listing is losing visibility or conversions and what to test first.
- Keyword positioning and gaps
- Store title, subtitle and descriptions
- Screenshots and app icon
- Reviews and reputation
- Competitor positioning
- Store conversion and discoverability
- Potential acquisition opportunities
App Store Optimization
Google Play and the Apple App Store index different fields, so each store gets its own approach.
Keyword & competitor research
Find the terms your users search and see how competing apps position themselves.
Google Play optimization
Title, short description and long description written for search and for the person reading.
Apple App Store optimization
Title, subtitle, keyword field and description planning for App Store search.
Store listing optimization
Keyword positioning across every field, kept clear and honest for users.
Screenshot & icon strategy
Message order, benefit-led captions and icon positioning for a quicker decision.
Conversion & testing
Review and reputation analysis and a store listing testing plan, prioritised by expected impact.
App growth & app marketing
ASO improves what happens when someone finds your app. Growth work decides who finds it in the first place.
- App growth and user acquisition strategy
- Organic growth and app marketing strategy
- Retention strategy and growth experiments
- Competitor analysis and conversion optimization
Paid and organic, connected
- Improve the listing so more visitors install
- Add paid traffic where the numbers support it
- Measure store conversion by source
- Feed learnings back into the listing
Sample ASO audit
This is a demonstration of the format, using a fictional app called "Daily Ledger". It is not a real client and none of the observations describe a real store listing. A real audit uses your live listing and competitors.
Current positioning
Presents itself as a "simple budgeting app". The listing does not say who it is for or what makes it different.
Keyword observations
The core phrase appears in the title only. Related terms users are likely to search are missing from the subtitle and short description. Priority terms to research next.
Competitor observations
Competing apps lead with a specific audience (freelancers, couples). Position opportunity: pick one audience and say so in the first line.
Store title observations
Brand name only. Consider adding a descriptive phrase within the store's character limit.
Description observations
Feature list appears before any benefit. The opening lines, the only part visible before expanding, are generic.
Screenshot observations
Screens show the interface without captions. First two screenshots do not state the main benefit.
Conversion observations
Visitors must interpret the product themselves. Clearer messaging is a likely conversion lever, to be verified by testing.
Recommended tests
- Benefit-led captions on the first two screenshots
- Audience-specific opening line
- Alternate subtitle wording
Independent sample analysis for demonstration purposes only. Results from real apps will be added here, with permission, once documented.
